Extremely handy: the museum is our neighbour. It is literally just five steps from our door into the radiant world of minerals. Behind the gates of the museum, Paul Fischnaller's large collection awaits, with exhibits including rock crystals of all shapes and sizes from many regions throughout the Alps. The geodes and agate nodules are something very special: cavities in which crystals grow, embedded in the andesite rock. Like the Dolomites, the Teiser Kugeln are unique to us.
And we're sure you'd love to take one of these real gems home with you. It's nice to know that this is possible! In the adjoining shop, you can find jewellery made of cut stones as well as books that will help you delve into the curious world of minerals. See for yourself: Children in particular will be enchangted holding a glittering Teiser Kugel in their hands. The museum is an educational highlight, and playfully teaches children about the geology of the area and how such wonders are formed.
