Skiing near Brixen

PLOSE

Strong sunshine yet with a certainty of snow – only the Plose has such a unique location! Most of the pistes are at an altitude of more than 2,000 m and, with its 7 lifts, it's of a manageable size. You can enjoy the winter sun to the full on Brixen's local mountain, be it with the wind in your face on the slopes or on the terrace of one of the many rustic and cosy lodges, which at the end of the day turn into a first-class après ski party zone! A sledding run also begins at the cable car's mountain station – or instead enjoy a winter hike with a great panoramic view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites.

The small Villnöss ski area is particularly popular with beginners. The slopes are not too steep and are therefore perfect for trying out skiing or snowboarding. Families with small children can also benefit – they can practice their balance in the children's park on the magic carpet. It's also suitable for anyone who just wants to be out in the fresh air for an hour or so. You can book a ski lesson at the Villnöss ski school – and you can also fortify yourself in the Filler Tenne mountain lodge. The drag lift can be directly accessed from St. Magdalena's villagce centre.

Skiing in Gröden means skiing in one of the world's most stunning sceneries. Do you need proof of this? It has won multiple awards!
